contact

If you’d like to take the next step and find out more about starting hypnotherapy sessions, or enrolling on one of my HypnoBirthing courses, both of which are now being offered online via Zoom (video call), please book in for a 30 minute initial consultation call using the button below:

Of course, please also feel free to call me any time you like, or to email me any questions you might have.

Booking a call simply ensures that we can talk at a time where both of us can be relatively free from distractions, and I can find out then where you are now, what you are specifically looking for help with, and give you an explanation of the hypnotherapy or HypnoBirthing process and how this might work for you.

find me

At present, for obvious reasons, I am working from home via Zoom (video call). I have previous experience of working in this way with people, having had who moved location partway through hypnotherapy or who had caring responsibilities that made it difficult to make it out for a session, and the more I use it, the more I find it to be a powerful and effective way of conducting therapy and training.

If you have hesitations or concerns about working in this way, or you are just not sure how to use the technology, please do get in touch and I will happily explore your concerns with you and provide additional information and reassurance on this front if possible, as well as providing instructions and guidance on using Zoom if necessary.

In more normal times however, and hopefully before too long once again…..

I work from two locations in the Clifton area of Bristol.

At The Alma Vale Centre (30 Alma Vale Road, BS8 2HY) I see hypnotherapy clients on Mondays.

At The Practice Rooms in Clifton (14 St. Paul’s Road, BS8 1LR) I see hypnotherapy clients on Wednesdays and Thursdays.

My HypnoBirthing classes are at the same two locations — Thursday evenings at The Practice Rooms, 14 St. Pauls’s Road, and Saturday mornings at the Alma Vale Centre.

The Alma Vale Centre

The Alma Vale Centre

The Alma Vale Centre is a really beautifully put together space. There are Rothko prints on the walls, carefully chosen artefacts, and gentle music playing in the waiting area where you can enjoy the free herbal tea. It’s also a really friendly, warm, welcoming environment. I usually work here on Mondays, daytime and evening. Once in-person work is possible again, I will also be running a Saturday morning HypnoBirthing class here.

The address of the Alma Vale Centre is as follows:

30 Alma Vale Road,  Clifton, Bristol BS8 2HY

Travelling by car

Please be aware that between Monday and Friday, 9am to 5pm, Clifton East Parking Restrictions apply to Alma Vale Road and the surrounding area. During this time please be sure to only park in the Pay and Display bays. Parking is free for 30 minutes but otherwise restricted to a maximum of 3 hours, costing £3 per hour. If it’s tricky to find parking on Alma Vale Road, another idea would be to try on All Saints Road, which runs parallel to Alma Vale Road.

Another option is the multi-storey car park in Clifton Down Shopping Centre, on the corner of Alma Road and Whiteladies Road. Parking is free for up to 2 hours if you spend £20 or more in Sainsbury. Otherwise, parking is £1 per hour.

Travelling by bus

If you’re starting from Temple Meads or the city centre, you can take a few different buses to Clifton Down shopping centre – the 8, 9 or 1 will all get you there. From there you can walk down Alma Road, turning right onto St. John’s Road and then left onto Alma Vale Road. The centre is a short way down Alma Vale Road on the right.

Travelling by train

There is a local train that runs from Temple Meads to Clifton Down Train Station. This small train station is a two minute walk from the centre. From the train station, leave via the exit onto St. John’s Road and turn down the road. Turn right onto Alma Vale Road, and you’ll find the centre half way up the road on the right hand side.

The Practice Rooms, Clifton

The Practice Rooms, Clifton

There are different ‘Practice Rooms’ in different parts of Bristol, and a few dotted around in other places as well. Each and every one of them is decorated in a pleasing and interesting way, with lovely antique treasures and oddments, baskets of dried flowers, paintings on the walls, and quirky vintage lamps, lanterns and carpets. And I particularly love working at this new centre at 14 St. Paul’s Road in Clifton. The rooms in this beautiful period building have all been dressed in the lovely Practice Rooms style, so that they are all spaces you can really enjoy spending time in, places well suited to conversation, reflection and relaxation,  making them ideal for hypnotherapy.  I am usually based here on St. Paul’s Road in Clifton on Wednesdays and Thursdays, seeing hypnotherapy clients on Wednesdays day-time and evening, as well as Thursday day-time, and once in-person work becomes possible again, I will be running a Thursday evening HypnoBirthing class here as well.

Travelling by car

Parts of St. Paul’s Road and nearby streets have Pay and Display parking bays. Parking is restricted to a maximum of 3 hours during normal working hours and 4 hours during the evening. You can see a map of Clifton’s street parking restrictions here. Parking can be paid for at a parking machine or via the Ringgo parking app.

The nearest car park is West End on Berkeley Place. This is about 10 minutes walk from the centre and parking starts at £2.50 for two hours. Another option is the car park that is part of Clifton Down Shopping Centre on Whiteladies Road. This is about 14 minutes walk from the centre and parking is free is you spend more than £20 in the Sainsbury there, or otherwise starts at £2 for 2 hours.

Travelling by bus

If you’re starting from Temple Meads or the city centre, you can take a few different buses to Clifton Down bus stop – the 8, 9 or 1 will all get you there. From there you can walk down Whitladies Road a little, moving back in the direction the bus came from, towards town, until you get to the turn for St. Paul’s Road on your right. After you take this turn, The Practice Rooms is on your right after the first right-hand turn off that road, at number 14.
